Four time Ash Medalist Josh Finch wound back the clock with a perfect match in thier win over Ocean Grove. 

Queenscliff's young star, Will Baker also was awarded top votes in the Coutas big win over Newcomb.

Welcome Lisa Patterson

AFL Barwon welcomes Lisa Patterson to our staff in a newly created role of Group Operations Manager.

Lisa has worked in retail banking for 15 years across numerous roles. Her most recent role has seen her working for State Government for her local member in Launceston, Tasmania for the past 5 years.  In this role Lisa has been engaged and connected with the community representing her member in different capacities within the electorate.

Within Lisa's role in politics, she has had the opportunity to engage and build relationships with many stakeholders and constituents, ensuring the member has been represented in a positive way. 

Lisa has been heavily involved with community sport across both basketball and football. Lisa has coached numerous teams across junior basketball, as well as participating as a player over the years at a high level. Lisa's extensive knowledge and passion with the sport has given her the opportunity to be a committee member of her local club and her commitment as a player, coach and volunteer has been acknowledged as a Life Member in 2021. Lisa is also a current Basketball Tasmania Board member.

Lisa has been an active volunteer in community football in Launceston with her club South Launceston Football Club where she was Vice President from 2019-2024 before relocating to Victoria. 

Lisa has already had a positive impact since starting at AFL Barwon and we look forward to her progressive involvement across the operations team in the future.

VACANCY - AFL Barwon Volunteer Work Experience

AFL Barwon provides governance and strategy development for Football and Netball across the Barwon region. We are seeking volunteer(s) to join our team and gain valuable experience in the areas of communications and media. 

The work experience is a voluntary position and will require a minimum of 1 or 2 days per week for a period of 3-6 months, with the potential for extension.

Dowling goes to the lead after Round 4 | BFNL Geelong Advertiser Vote

The Geelong Advertiser Coaches Player of the Year is an award voted by each Senior coach on a 5,4,3,2,1 basis after each home and away game, acknowledging outstanding effort by an individual player in a season.

Geelong Amateur recruit Paddy Dowling has raced to the lead of the Coaches Player of the Year recieiving 6 votes in thier match against Torquay.
Drysdales Luke Preece was the only player to recieve full votes from both coaches.
