Benson takes the lead in Coaches Award | Round 7 & 8 GFNL Football Geelong Advertiser Coaches Votes

St Mary's midfielder Hary Benson has surged into the lead of the GFNL Geelong Advertiser Coaches Award, after the votes from Round 7 and 8 have been tallied. 

There were four maximum vote games in Round 7 which saw Bell Park's Ben Worme, Grovedale's nathan Deans, Colac's Aaron Hawker and St Joseph's Alex Hickey all get the 10 votes from the coaches.

Emerging talls in St Mary's Lachlan Peck and St Joseph's Oscar Morrison both recieved perfect games in Round 10 from the coaches.

Reigning Bellarine Football Netball League Medallist, Kaitlin Gladman and Newcomb's Carly Sanders have taken the early lead in the inaugural Geelong Advertiser Coaches Player of the Year Award.

The Geelong Advertiser Coaches Player of the Year is an award voted by each A-Grade netball coach on a 3,2,1 basis after each home and away game, acknowledging outstanding effort by an individual player in a season.

There are individual awards for the Bellarine FNL A-Grade & Geelong FNL A-Grade Netball competitions. 

The votes have been tallied from Round 3 onwards as the award was established following Round 3. 

*Votes from Round 6 onwards will be completed upon all club coaches submitting votes.

Portarlington's Kelly Pickard continued his outstanding form this season with a 10-vote game in the Demon's third win. The yoyo at the top between Geelong Amateurs teammates, Riley Ferguson & Patrick Dowling continued with Ferguson moving back to the top of the leaderboard.
