AFL Barwon and BodyFit Training (BFT) have extended their partnership until the end of 2023. The continued support from BFT will see the partnership move into its third year.

The BFT branding will again be on show on all match days with all AFL Barwon club water carrier bibs sporting the BFT logo. The new agreement will also see BFT be the competition naming rights holder of the Bellarine FNL D Grade Netball competition. There will also be a monthly "BFT Flex Moment" which will be great addition to the partnership.

The partnership with BFT provides the AFL Barwon club members with discounted membership rates.

AFL Barwon advises the Match Review of the weekends games has been completed and found that there were no reportable offences.

AFL Barwon has some exciting coaching opportunities for our junior representative football programs for the 2023 season.

We are seeking applicants for our Under 14 and Under 15 talent academies and V/Line Cup programs.

• 2023 Under 14 / 15s Division 2 Boys Head Coach 
• 2023 Under 15 Boys Assistant Coach
• 2023 Under 14 Boys Assistant Coach
• 2023 Under 15 Girls Head Coach 
• 2023 Under 15 Girls Assistant Coach 

The Academy Coaches will be required to attend training one night a week (likely Wednesdays) from Mid-June through to Early-to-Mid August, and training two nights a week during September up until the V/Line Cup Carnival for the Under 15 Groups.

It’ll be expected that coaches are to be attending community club games from R1-R4/5 of the AFL Barwon Junior Football competitions, to have a look at the players nominated by clubs in the Barwon region.

Netball Victoria are running the following workshops in the Barwon and Colac regions over the coming months.

GAME AND MATCH MANAGEMENT WORKSHOP

Topics include providing umpires with improved understanding of the protocols relating to Section 13 of the Rules of Netball and the instances when they should be applied and aims to increase an umpires' confidence to apply the Game Management section in matches, and gain a better understanding of the difference between Match Management techniques and Game Management requirements, and how these can work together.
