AFL Barwon's Safeguarding Policy Framework

AFL Barwon is committed to promoting and protecting the safety and wellbeing of all children and young people who participate in AFL Football and Netball in our region. This includes any level of the sports, through activities, programs, clinics and /or use of our facilities.

We have zero tolerance of any harm or abuse and will work actively to prevent it.

Everyone has the right to Be Safe, Feel Safe, Play Safe.

Reporting Safeguarding Concerns

A safeguarding concern can be raised by anyone (a child, young person, family member, carer, umpire, official, senior player, coach, manager, club member or member of the community) and be about anything (facilities, behaviour of another child or young person, behaviour or actions of an adult).

You can report a safeguarding concern by:

  • Contacting a trusted person at your Club via email, phone or in person
