The AFL Barwon Commission are seeking a volunteer director to fill a casual vacancy and to assist in the governance and oversight of football and netball in the Barwon region.

For this casual vacancy, the following experience and technical expertise is required:
- Financial Expertise: Proven experience in finance, accounting, or financial management, ideally with CPA or CA qualifications.
- Strategic Financial Planning: Strong skills in developing and implementing financial strategies and budgets.
- Governance Knowledge: Understanding of corporate governance, compliance, and fiduciary responsibilities in a board context.
- Risk Management: Experience in identifying, assessing, and managing financial risks.
- Analytical Skills: Proficiency in interpreting financial data, reports, and forecasts to support informed decision-making.
- Audit and Compliance: Familiarity with audit processes, regulatory requirements, and ensuring financial accuracy.
- Non-profit Sector Insight: Experience working with or understanding the financial operations of non-profit organisations.
- Technology Proficiency: Knowledge of financial software systems and emerging financial technologies.
- Leadership and Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a board, contributing to collective goals and decision-making.
