Bowers goes back to back as Surkitt wins Mahoney Medal

South Colac’s Bradley Surkitt held off Irrewarra-Beeac star Cooper Stephens to claim the 2024 Mahoney Medal at last night's vote counts at the Colac RSL. Surkitt finished on 27 votes, one vote ahead of Stephen’s, with Alvie’s Levi Dare finishing third on 23.

The Val Russell Medal for a second-year running was convincingly taken out by Alvie's Ruby Bowers, 10 votes clear of Irrewarra-Beeac's Rhiannon White.
