Awards season is in full swing and the attention now turns to junior netball.

The winners of the AFL Barwon Junior Netball Vote Counts were announced on Tuesday night.

The GFNL 17&Under Division 1 saw a dominant win by Geelong West’s Estelle Stephens who polled 46 votes.

Runner up to her Amelie Ruyg of St Mary’s who polled 28 votes in the count.

In the GFNL 17&Under Division 2 it was a close count as Piper Sach of Grovedale came away with the Best and Fairest after polling 24 votes.

She was closely followed by Bell Park’s Anabel Jensz who polled 23 votes.

In the BFNL 17&Under Division 1 Coco Hayes of Torquay was crowned the Best and Fairest after polling 26 votes in the regular season.

Runner up in a close count was Anglesea’s Scarlotte Benney with 25 votes.

In the BFNL 17&Under Division 2 Portarlington’s Sarah Grant came away with the Best and Fairest after polling 20 votes.

Runner up was her Portarlington teammate Mia Kiely on 18 votes.

In the 17&Under Midweek Division 3 Ruby Brooks of Ocean Grove took home the Best and Fairest with 17 votes.

Runner up to her was Bell Park’s Eliza Dally who polled 14 votes.

In the 17&Under Midweek Division 4 Inverleigh’s Clare Hardy was crowned the Best and Fairest after polling 16 votes.

She was followed by Milla Dale of Newtown & Chilwell who polled 14 votes.

In the 17&Under Midweek Division 5 Bell Park’s Rahni Allan finished the count on 17 votes.

Runner up was Layla Burns of St Mary’s who polled 16 votes.

In the GFNL 15&Under Division 1 Ruby Hay of Colac was awarded the Best and Fairest as she polled 23 votes.

Runner up to her was Bell Park’s Milla Eldredge who finished the count on 22 votes.

In the GFNL 15&Under Division 2 Colac’s Sophie Wheadon finished the count on 30 votes.

Runner up was Harriet Povey of Newtown & Chilwell who polled 26 votes.

In the BFNL 15&Under Division 1 Lily Peters of Geelong Ammo’s finished a close count as the Best and Fairest after she polled 21 votes.

Runner up was Portarlington’s Teyana Ihimaera Smiler with 20 votes.

In the BFNL 15&Under Division 2 there was another close count as Queenscliff’s Charlotte Green was awarded the Best and Fairest after finishing the count on 26 votes.

She was closely followed by Mackenzie Pigdon of Portarlington on 26 votes.

In the 15&Under Midweek Division 3 the Best and Fairest was Bannockburn’s Indianna Tait who polled 24 votes.

Runner was a four-way tie who all polled 13 votes.

In the 15&Under Midweek Division 4 Amelia Doody of Bell Park capped off a dominant count to finish on 25 votes.

Runner up to her Torquay’s Tallulah Carty who polled 12 votes.

In the 15&Under Midweek Division 5 St Mary’s Elodie Walker was the Best and Fairest after polling 17 votes.

Runner up went to her St Mary’s teammate Rachel Chan on 13 votes.

In the 15&Under Midweek Division 6 Bell Park’s Marley Gray was awarded the Best and Fairest after finishing the count on 20 votes.

Second spot went to Emmie Gyzen of Inverleigh who polled 14 votes.

In the 15&Under Midweek Division 7 Lylah Jennings of Bannockburn was awarded the Best and Fairest after polling 20 votes.

Runner up was Geelong Ammo’s Stella Bray who finished the count on 19 votes.

In the GFNL 13&Under Division 1 Darby Connolly of St Mary’s finished the count on 24 votes to be the winner of the Best and Fairest.

Runner up was Lara’s Jazzariah Thompson Fisco on 21 votes.

In the GFNL 13&Under Division 2 Sadie Miles of South Barwon and Skylar Samuels of Bell Park were crowned joint winners with 20 votes each.

In the BFNL 13&Under Division 1 Geelong Ammo’s Dana Sanders took home the Best and Fairest with 33 votes.

Runner up to her was Torquay’s Kobe Leach on 25 votes.

In the BFNL 13&Under Division 2 Geelong Ammo’s Michaela Desai won the Best and Fairest after polling 27 votes.

Runner up to her Newcomb’s Elizabeth Gulino on 24 votes.

In the 13&Under Midweek Division 3 Phoebe Brown of Newtown & Chilwell finished the count in top spot after polling 16 votes.

Runner up to her was Bannockburn’s Lenix Witney who polled 15 votes.

In the 13&Under Midweek Division 4 Ella Barclay of Newtown & Chilwell was awarded the Best and Fairest after finishing the count on 17 votes.

Runner up was awarded to Surf Coast Sun Isabelle O’Leary who polled 15 votes.

In the 13&Under Midweek Division 5 Ocean Grove’s Christine Pagnoccolo and Drysdale’s Harriet Robinson both took out the top honours with 19 votes each.

In the 13&Under Midweek Division 6 there was a close count as Cleo Thomas of Barwon Heads was awarded the Best and Fairest after polling 18 votes.

Runner up was Gidget Stanley of St Mary’s who polled 17 votes.

In the 13&Under Midweek Division 7 Geelong Ammo’s Maya Downie took out top spot with 17 votes in the count.

Runner up went to Darcy Guthridge and Jack Hinchliffe of Inverleigh who both polled 15 votes each.               

In the 13&Under Midweek Division 8 there was joint winners as both Harriet Frisch of Bell Park and Torquay’s Tilli Phyland polled 13 votes each.

In the 13&Under Midweek Division 9 there was also joint winners as St Joseph’s Agnes Elliott and Corio’s Ruby Lea took home the Best and Fairest after polling 15 votes respectively.

The wait is almost over, with the 2026 Kempe Junior Netball Vote Count set to celebrate the outstanding young talent across the region.

Players from the Bellarine FNL, Geelong FNL and AFL Barwon Junior Netball competitions will have their seasons recognised as votes are counted and this year’s Kempe Junior Netball Best & Fairest winners are crowned.

Follow all the action live below as we reveal the votes from the final five rounds and discover who will be crowned the 2026 Junior Best & Fairest winners.

Each competition will begin with the 13 & Under count before progressing through to 17 & Under.

• 6:00pm – Bellarine FNL Junior Netball
• 6:50pm – AFL Barwon Junior Netball
• 8:30pm – Geelong FNL Junior Netball

The winners of the Under 18 Football and the 19 & Under Netball Best and Fairest have been announced.

It comes following the Under 18 Football and 19 & Under Netball presentation night at Buckley’s Entertainment Centre on Monday Night.

Football

In the Under 18 Division 1 gforce Cup Jack Trewin of Geelong West took out the award with 26 votes.

Trewin’s season included seven mentions in the best across his 14 games.

Runner up to Trewin was Fletcher Bent of St Mary’s with 21 votes.

Tied for third was Cooper Costelloe of Torquay and Byron Hansford of Ocean Grove.

Rounding out the top 5 was Archie Tatterson of St Mary’s with 15 votes.

In the Under 18 Division 2 Times News Group Cup Oscar Denny of North Shore took out the Best and Fairest with 18 votes.

Denny, who also played five senior matches this season found himself in the best 10 times in his 14 matches.

Runner up was Noah Staehr from Leopold with 15 votes.

Equal third was Connor Boswell of Torquay and Riley Cotter of North Shore who tied on 12 votes.

In fifth was Isaac Ashley from the Surf Coast Suns with 11 votes.

In the Under 18 Division 3 Times News Group Cup Cooper McKenzie of St Albans took out the Best and Fairest with 20 votes.

McKenzie racked up the goals, amassing 40 goals in his eight games to go with eight mentions in the best across the season.

Runner up to Mckenzie was Ocean Grove’s Hudson Stephenson and Modewarre's Joshua Chislett who polled 17 votes.

Fourth was Tyler Levy of Inverleigh/Bannockburn who polled 16 votes.

In fifth position was Jake McLeod from Lara who finished the count with 12 votes.

Netball

In the Geelong FNL 19&Under gforce cup there was a tie for the Best and Fairest with Colac’s Remy Holt and South Barwon’s Amali Hill both polling 25 votes.

Both winners combined their dominant seasons in the 19&Under competition with B grade netball throughout the year.

In third place was Arabella Taylor from St Joseph’s who finished the count on 20 votes.

Fourth position went Bell Park’s Phoenix McCleish polling 19 votes.

Finishing in fifth was Grovedale’s Matilda Varcoe and St Mary’s Lucy Grapsas who both polled 18 votes respectively on the night.

The Bellarine FNL 19&Under gforce cup Best and Fairest was awarded to Portarlington’s Tylah McCleish who polled 30 votes in the count.

McCleish was a regular fixture in front of goals, shooting 307 goals in 15 games across the home and away season.

Following McCleish was runner up Hayley Toull from Modewarre with 26 votes.

Third spot went to Ocean Grove’s Ella Brown after polling 24 votes.

She was closely followed by Bella Te Paa of Torquay who polled 23 votes.

In fifth was Geelong Ammos Jaida Raco with 21 votes.

The award winners in the Colac & District Football Netball League have been announced.

It comes following the Colac & District Football Netball League Presentation Night held at the Colac RSL on Wednesday Night.

Football

The Mahoney Medal for the senior football best and fairest was awarded to Lorne’s Samual Torpy who polled 26 votes.

After not featuring at all for the Dolphins in 2025, Torpy was back with a vengeance.

He averaged over a goal a game and was named in the best 10 times over the course of the season.

Runner up went to Bailey Scott of the Colac Imperials who finished the count on 24 votes.

The former Essendon VFL player had a commanding year in front of goals with 39 goals in his 13 games.

Third went to Alvie’s Lincoln Dare with 22 votes.

In the reserves Best and Fairest Fletcher Barron from Lorne was the run-away winner after polling 32 votes.

Runner up to Barron was Alvie’s Hayden Hickey who polled 23 votes.

Closely following in third was Birregurra’s Andrew Kelly on 22 votes.

Netball

In the Russell Medal for A grade Best and Fairest, Birregurra’s Handley Nikita was the winner with 33 votes.

Runner up was Eliza Cahill from Colac Imperials who polled 25 votes.

Third spot went to Brittany Monaghan of South Colac with 22 votes.

In B grade Lorne’s Lucy Erftemeyer took out the Best and Fairest after polling 29 votes.

Runner up was her Lorne teammate Leigh Potter who finished the count with 21 votes.

She was closely followed by Birregurra’s Alysha Hill who polled 20 votes in the count.

In C grade Irrewarra-Beeac’s  Chloe Copeland finished the count on top after she polled 29 votes.

Runner ups to her were teammate Paige Copeland and Western Eagles’ Lorraine Mahoney on 26 votes each.

In D grade it was a close finish with Simpson’s Leesha Seabrook winning by one vote after polling 23 votes.

Runner up was her Simpson teammate Briana Ferrari who polled 22 votes.

Coming in at third was Bree McKenzie from the Colac Imperials after she finished the count on 19 votes.
