Bell Park v Grovedale

At the request of the officiating umpires, the MRP have reviewed vision of an incident that occurred during the 4^th quarter of the Bell Park v Grovedale Senior match involving a potential dangerous tackle by Jack Hall #17 Bell Park on jack Tute #21 Grovedale.

It was deemed the tackle was not reportable and no charge was laid.

Lara v Colac

At the request of the officiating umpires, the MRP reviewed vision of a potential dangerous tackle by Bailey Harvey #33 Lara on Cooper Stephens #21 Colac that occurred in the 4^th quarter of the Lara v Colac Senior match 6^th August 2022.

It was deemed that the tackle warranted a free kick should have been paid for in the back, but was not reportable.

No charge was laid.

St Mary’s v Newtown & Chilwell

At the request of St Mary’s FNC, the MRP reviewed vision of an incident that occurred involving Liam Fiore #13 Newtown & Chilwell and Harrison Kol #8 St Mary’s, in the 2^nd quarter of the St Mary’s v Newtown & Chilwell Senior match on 7^th August 2022.

It was deemed that Liam Fiore made high contact on Harrison Kol in a manner that constituted a reportable offence for a careless strike.

He has been offered a one match set penalty.

Both clubs involved have until 10.00am Tuesday 9^th August to request the matter be heard at Tribunal, or the sanction will apply as offered.

No vision was available of a melee that allegedly occurred at the end of the 3^rd quarter. No charges were laid.

There was also no vision of an incident where Matthew McMahon #9 Newtown & Chilwell was reported by the officiating umpire for carelessly striking Nick Nott #15 St Mary’s.

A one match set penalty was offered by the officiating umpire and has been accepted by Newtown & Chilwell.

Anakie v Werribee Centrals

At the request of the Werribee Centrals FNC, the MRP reviewed vision of an incident in the 3^rd quarter of the Anakie v Werribee Centrals Senior match 6^th August 2022 where it was alleged that Billy Goodwin #13 Anakie kicked Chad Buck #16 Werribee Centrals.

It was deemed that #13 Anakie was observed to kick his opponent #16 Werribee Centrals in a manner deemed to be intentional and reportable.

Billy Goodwin has been offered a 4 match set penalty for this offence.

Both clubs involved have until 10.00am Tuesday 9^th August to request the matter be heard at Tribunal, or the sanction will apply as offered.

At the request of the officiating umpires the MRP reviewed vision of an incident in the 3^rd quarter of the Anakie v Werribee Centrals Senior match 6^th August 2022 where Mark Pope #6 Anakie allegedly received contact to the face. The vision was inconclusive and no charge was identified.

At the request of the officiating umpires, the MRP also reviewed vision of ongoing melees in the 3^rd quarter  of the Anakie v Werribee Centrals Senior match 6^th August 2022 that involved a number of players from both sides.

Both clubs have been fined a total of $650 for their involvement, $150 of which has been suspended until the end of 2023 season.

North Shore v St Albans

The MRP reviewed vision of an incident that occurred in the 2^nd quarter of the North Shore v St Albans Senior match 6^th August 2022, where Harry Purcell #9 North Shore was reported by the officiating umpire for Charging Harrison Howarth #5 St Albans.

The MRP supported the charge and in consultation with the reporting umpire have offered a one match set penalty in this instance.

There was no available vision of an incident where Herschelle Carr $30 North Shore was reported  by the officiating umpire in the 3^rd quarter of the North Shore v St Albans Senior match 6^th August 2022 for allegedly kicking Brent Vermeulen #11 St Albans.

In consultation with the reporting umpire and available evidence, the MRP have offered a 2 match set penalty in this instance.

Both clubs involved have until 10.00am Tuesday 9^th August to request either matter be heard at Tribunal, or the sanctions will apply as offered.

Geelong West Giants v Belmont Lions

At the request of Geelong West Giants, the MRP reviewed vision of two incidents that occurred in the 3^rd quarter of the Geelong West Giants v Belmont Lions Senior Match 6^th August 2022.

It was deemed that the incident involving Brent Jacques #21 Belmont Lions and Michael Leamer #6 Geelong West Giants was not reportable, but worthy of a free kick.

No charge was laid

It was deemed that the incident involving Brent Jacques #21 Belmont Lions and Sam Edwards #18 Geelong West Giants was regarded as unnecessary high contact and reportable for rough conduct.

A 2 match set penalty has been offered in this instance.

Both clubs involved have until 10.00am Tuesday 9^th August to request the matter be heard at Tribunal, or the sanction will apply as offered.

The MRP reviewed vision of an incident that occurred in the 3^rd quarter of the Geelong West Giants v Belmont Lions senior match 6^th August 2022 where Jed Evans #53 Belmont Lions was reported by the officiating umpires for rough conduct through a dangerous tackle on Tom Richmond #3 Geelong West Giants.

The MRP have supported the charge, Belmont Lions have advised that they wish to challenge the 2 match set penalty at tribunal. This will be heard Tuesday 9^th August at Buckley’s (Time TBA)

Modewarre v Drysdale

The MRP reviewed vision of an incident that occurred in the 4^th quarter of the Modewarre v Drysdale Senior Match 6^th August 2022, where Tevan Nofi was reported by the officiating umpire for rough conduct on Oliver Butler #5 Modewarre.

The MRP have supported the charge and a 2 match set penalty has been offered.

Both clubs involved have until 10.00am Tuesday 9^th August to request the matter be heard at Tribunal, or the sanction will apply as offered.

Queenscliff v Torquay

At the request of the officiating umpires, the MRP reviewed vision of an incident that occurred in the 3^rd quarter of the Queenscliff v Torquay Senior Match 6^th August 2022 involving Angus Naylor #12 Queenscliff making high contact with Lucas Anderson #1 Torquay.

It was deemed that Angus Naylor made high contact to the face of Lucas Anderson in a manner that was reportable for carelessly striking.

The MRP have issued a reprimand for the offence in this instance.

Both clubs involved have until 10.00am Tuesday 9^th August to request the matter be heard at Tribunal, or the sanction will apply as offered.

Anakie v Thomson

At the request of Anakie FNC, the MRP viewed vision of an incident that occurred in the first quarter of the Anakie v Thomson Senior match on Saturday 9^th July 2022.

The MRP deemed that Jackson Macleod #2 Thomson chose to bump making high contact with Nick Kalbarczyk #21 Anakie.

Jackson Macleod was reported for engaging in rough conduct and has been offered a one match set penalty.

Newcomb v Modewarre

At the request of Modewarre FNC, the MRP viewed vision of an incident that occurred in the 2^nd quarter of the Newcomb v Modewarre Senior match on Saturday 9^th July 2022.

The MRP deemed that the incident involving Corey Ogle #23 Newcomb and Josh Finch #18 Modewarre was not reportable, and the free kick & 50 metre penalty was appropriate in the circumstances.

No charge was laid.

Reports

St Joseph’s v North Shore

James Hickey #27 St Joseph’s was reported by the officiating umpires for engaging in rough conduct with what was alleged to be a dangerous tackle on Will Milsome #35 North Shore in the 2^nd quarter of the St Joseph’s v North Shore Senior match on Saturday 9^th July 2022.

The MRP viewed the incident and have supported the action as being reportable, the 2 match set penalty as offered is deemed appropriate.

Corio v Bannockburn

Kieran Fulton #23 Bannockburn was reported by the officiating umpire for engaging in rough conduct with what was alleged to be a dangerous tackle on Blake Ash #20 Corio in the 3^rd quarter of the Corio v Bannockburn Senior match on Saturday 9^th July 2022.

The MRP viewed the incident and have supported the action as being reportable, but based on the vision and in consultation with the reporting umpires have amended the set penalty offered to one match.

Where Set Penalties have been offered, both clubs involved have until 10.00am Tuesday 12^th July to request the matter be heard at Tribunal, or the Set Penalty will apply as offered.

Bell Park v North Shore

At the request of the officiating umpires, the MRP reviewed an incident that occurred in the 1^st quarter involving #30 Bell Park for allegedly striking #4 North Shore.

The MRP have reported Jamie Fulton #30 Bell Park for intentionally striking Sam Witherden #4 North Shore.

A 2 match set penalty has been offered.

Both clubs involved have until 10.00am Tuesday 26^th July to request the matter be heard at Tribunal, or the sanction will apply as offered

East Geelong v Bell Post Hill

At the request of the officiating umpires, the MRP reviewed an incident that occurred in the 1^st quarter of the East Geelong v Bell Post Hill Senior match 23/7/2022 where Thomas Cordner Maas #13 East Geelong was contacted high.

The MRP deemed that the high contact was a result of the East Geelong player’s actions and no charge was laid.

Thomson v Winchelsea

At the request of the officiating umpires, the MRP reviewed an incident that occurred in the 1^st quarter of the Thomson v Winchelsea Senior match 23/7/2022 where it was alleged Tom Foss #4 Winchelsea was elbowed to the back of the head in a marking contest.

The MRP deemed the contact was late but not reportable and the 50 metre penalty that was paid on the day was appropriate.

No charge was laid.

Ocean Grove v Modewarre

At the request of the officiating umpires the MRP requested vision of an alleged kick during the 4^th quarter of the Ocean Grove v Modewarre Senior match 23/7/2022 by Craig Goodger #48 Ocean Grove on an unknown Modewarre player during a scuffle between the 2 players. There was no vision of the alleged incident. No charge was laid.

Queenscliff v Portarlington

At the request of the officiating umpires, the MRP reviewed a melee that occurred in the 3^rd quarter of the Queenscliff v Portarlington Senior match 23/7/2022

The MRP deemed the melee did not warrant further action and there were no reportable offences committed.

No charge was laid.

Reports

Bell Park v North Shore

No vision was available of the report that occurred in the 2^nd quarter of the Bell Park v North Shore Senior match 23/7/2022 where Jack Leonard #5 North Shore was reported for allegedly kicking Jamie Fulton #30 Bell Park.

This charge has been referred to the tribunal and will be heard Tuesday 26^th July at Buckley’s.

St Joseph’s v Grovedale

The MRP reviewed an incident that occurred in the 3^rd quarter of the St Joseph’s v Grovedale Senior match 23/7/2022 where Sam Clohesy #28 St Joseph’s was reported for rough conduct for a dangerous tackle on Luke Ford #31 Grovedale.

The MRP deemed that the tackle warranted a free kick to be paid, but in consultation with the reporting umpire have withdrawn the charge.

Anglesea v Drysdale

The MRP reviewed vision of the incident that occurred in the 4^th quarter of the Anglesea v Drysdale Senior match 23/7/2022 where Dylan Blizzard #50 Anglesea was reported for intentionally striking Bailey Sykes #21 Drysdale.

The MRP deemed the report to be appropriate and endorsed the 2 match set penalty as offered on the day by the reporting umpire.

Anglesea have accepted the 2 match set penalty.

Corio v Werribee Centrals

No vision was available of an incident where Kyle O’Toole #10 Corio was reported by the officiating umpire for intentionally striking Tyson Stephens #26 Werribee Centrals at the end of  the 2^nd quarter (half time) of the Corio v Werribee Centrals senior match 23/7/2022.

The 2 match set penalty as offered by the reporting umpire was deemed appropriate.

Thomson v Winchelsea

No vision was available of an incident where Jackson Smith #10 Winchelsea was reported by the officiating umpire for intentionally striking Travis McGuire #4 Thomson in the 4^th quarter of the Thomson v Winchelsea senior match 23/7/2022.

The MRP in consultation with the reporting umpire have offered Jackson Smith a 1 match set penalty in this instance.

Ocean Grove v Modewarre

No vision was available where Jack Bolton the Modewarre runner was reported by the officiating umpire for squirting water at Craig Goodger #48 Ocean Grove.

The reporting umpire has offered Jack Bolton a reprimand in this instance.

Where sanctions have been offered, both clubs involved have until 10.00am Tuesday 26^th July to request the matter be heard at Tribunal, or the sanction will apply as offered.

St Albans v St Mary’s

• At the request of the officiating umpires, the MRP viewed vision of an incident that occurred in the first quarter of the St Albans v St Mary’s Senior match on Saturday 25^th June 2022.

It was determined that the tackle laid by Kane Loftus # 38 St Mary’s on Oliver Boothey #43 St Albans was not reportable. No charge was laid in this instance.

• At the request of the officiating umpires, the MRP also viewed vision of an incident that occurred in the fourth quarter of the St Albans v St Mary’s Senior match on Saturday 25^th June 2022.

It was determined that the tackle laid by Bailey Brogden #3 St Albans on Jack Blood #6 St Mary’s was a sling tackle which was deemed dangerous. Bailey Brogden was reported for Engaging in Rough Conduct.

A one week set penalty has been offered.

Geelong West Giants v Leopold

• At the request of the officiating umpires, the MRP viewed vision of an incident that occurred in the first quarter of the Geelong West Giants v Leopold Senior match on Sunday 26^th June 2022.

It was determined that Luke Justin #20 Leopold chose to bump making high contact on Nicholas Wood #38 Geelong West Giants in a manner which constituted rough conduct.

A 2 match set penalty has been offered.

North Shore v Lara

• At the request of the officiating umpires, the MRP viewed vision of a possible striking incident during the second quarter of the North Shore v Lara Senior match on Saturday 25^th June 2022.

The vision was inconclusive and no charge was laid.

Newcomb v Queenscliff

• At the request of the officiating umpires, the MRP viewed vision of an alleged strike by Justin Maher #1 Queenscliff on Brenton Rees #38 Newcomb during the third quarter of the Newcomb v Queenscliff Senior match on Saturday 25^th June 2022. The vision did not show evidence of any strike occurring. No charge was laid.

Anglesea v Modewarre

• At the request of the officiating umpires, the MRP viewed vision of a potential strike by Daniel Midolo #52  that occurred in the fourth quarter of the Anglesea v Modewarre Senior match on Saturday 25^th June 2022. The vision did not show evidence of any strike occurring. No charge was laid.

Inverleigh v Winchelsea

At the request of Winchelsea FNC, the MRP viewed vision of a bump applied by # 9 Inverleigh on #10 Winchelsea in the 3^rd quarter of the Inverleigh v Winchelsea match on Saturday 25^th June 2022. The bump was not deemed to be reportable. No charge was laid.

Where Set Penalties have been offered, both clubs involved have until 10.00am Tuesday 28^th June  to request the matter be heard at Tribunal, or the Set Penalty will apply as offered.

Anglesea v Torquay

• At the request of the officiating umpires the MRP viewed vision of a possible striking incident by Dylan Blizzard #50 Anglesea on an unknown Torquay player in the 2^nd quarter of the Anglesea v Torquay Senior match on Saturday 4^th June 2022.

There was no vision of the incident and no charge was laid.

• At the request of the Anglesea FNC the MRP viewed vision for a possible strike by Ben Raidme #5 Torquay on Max Simpson #4 Anglesea in the 3^rd quarter, and two separate alleged striking incidents on Matthew Connell #36 Anglesea in the 4^th quarter of the Anglesea v Torquay Senior match on Saturday 4^th June 2022.

There was no vision of these alleged incidents and no charges were laid.

Colac v South Barwon

• At the request of the officiating umpires the MRP viewed vision of a potentially dangerous tackle by Kody Spokes #3  Colac on Lachlan Noble #22 South Barwon in the 4^th quarter of the Colac v South Barwon Senior match on Saturday 4^th June 2022.

The MRP deemed that the tackle applied wasn’t reportable, but the free kick paid was appropriate and no charge was laid.

East Geelong v Anakie

• At the request of the officiating umpires, the MRP viewed vision of a late bump by Ruben Vesikuru #61 East Geelong on Braydan Riddell #17 Anakie during the 4^th quarter of the East Geelong v Anakie senior match on Saturday 4^th June 2022. The MRP deemed the bump was not reportable by nature and no charge was laid.

Drysdale v Portarlington

• At the request of the officiating umpires, the MRP viewed vision of a melee that occurred at the end of the 2^nd quarter in the Drysdale v Portarlington Senior match on Saturday 4^th June 2022.

No reportable incidents were detected and the melee wasn’t deemed to warrant the application of any fines in this instance.

Geelong West Giants v North Shore

• At the request of the officiating umpires, the MRP viewed vision of a melee that occurred at the end of the first quarter of the Geelong West Giants v North Shore Senior match during the quarter time break. The vision as viewed by the MRP indicated a large number of players from both sides involved, which was unnecessarily prolonged through further actions from both sides.

Both clubs have been issued fines of $650 each of which Geelong West Giants will have $150 suspended for the remainder of the 2022 season for their involvement in the melee.

Having already received a warning in 2022 for involvement in a Melee, North Shore will not have any part of their fine suspended.

• At the request of North Shore FNC, the MRP viewed vision of a potential dangerous tackle that occurred in the 4^th quarter of the Geelong West Giants v North Shore Senior match, by a Geelong West Giants player on #20 from North Shore. The tackle was not deemed to be reportable and no charge was laid.

• At the request of North Shore FNC, the MRP viewed vision of a potential head butt that occurred during the melee at the end of the first quarter of the Geelong West Giants v North Shore senior match during the quarter time break. The MRP deemed that #2 Geelong West Giants Tannar Stone head butted #10 North Shore Patrick Cleary in a manner which was reportable and instigated a continuation of the melee.

Tannar Stone has been offered a 3 match set penalty.

• At the request of Geelong West Giants FNC, the MRP viewed vision of a potential dangerous tackle during the Geelong West Giants v North Shore senior match, by #9 North Shore on #48 Geelong West Giants Philip Moi Moi. The tackle was not deemed to be reportable and no charge was laid

• At the request of Geelong West Giants FNC, the MRP viewed vision of a potential striking incident during the 4^th quarter of the Geelong West Giants v North Shore senior match, by #13 North Shore Bradlee Tregenza on #3 Geelong West Giants Noah Gribble. The MRP deemed that Bradlee Tregenza be reported for striking Noah Gribble.

Bradlee Tregenza has been offered a one match set penalty.

Where reports have been laid, both clubs involved have until 10.00am Tuesday 7^th June  to request the matter be heard at Tribunal, or the Set Penalty will apply as offered.
