The Barwon Blueprint is a long-term, region-wide strategy focused on strengthening the sustainability, competitiveness and future structure of community football and netball across the Barwon region.

STEERING COMMITTEE

The Barwon Blueprint Steering Committee will provide strategic oversight and guidance throughout the project. The committee will comprise representatives from across football, netball and the broader sporting community, including:

  • AFL Barwon Chief Executive Officer (Chair)
  • AFL Barwon Head of Football
  • AFL Barwon Head of Netball
  • League representatives from the Geelong Football Netball League (GFNL), Bellarine Football Netball League (BFNL), Geelong & District Football Netball League (GDFNL) and Colac & District Football Netball League (CDFNL), with one representative appointed by each league board
  • Up to two junior league representatives
  • AFL Victoria representative
  • Netball Victoria representative
  • Independent experts, engaged as required, in areas such as competition design, umpiring, demographic analysis and facilitation

The Steering Committee will ensure the Barwon Blueprint is informed by a broad range of perspectives and expertise, supporting a collaborative and evidence-based approach to the future of football and netball across the region.
