Bell Park vs Colac
Hamlyn Park, 1:40PM, Saturday 9th August, 2025
Both sides have been putting consistent efforts on the court.
Bell Park are currently on a six-game losing streak, but their recent form wouldn’t suggest this.
Colac has won three out of their last four matches and are riding a wave of confidence.
For the Dragons, Makaela Connelly should see plenty of opportunities in front of goals, as will Mary Place, who shot 55 goals last weekend.
Geelong West Giants vs St Albans
St Albans Reserve, 1:40PM, Saturday 9th August, 2025
Fresh off a bye, Geelong West Giants are ready to attack the remainder of this season, as a big finals push is on the cards.
St Albans have faced challenges, much of the season but will be looking to have a four-quarter performance.
Eloise Ritchie should be important for the Giants in defense, as will centre Meg Matthews.
While captain Amy Cooke for St Albans, will need to shoot accurately, after shooting 38 goals, in her last outing.
Grovedale vs St Mary’s
Burdoo Reserve, 1:40PM, Saturday 9th August, 2025
A win this week for St Mary’s would continue their hunt for a finals position,
If they win, they will keep a 10-point lead on either Lara or Leopold who face each other this weekend.
Grovedale won their previous match, bringing in some much-needed momentum, a win against St Mary’s could shake the finals make-up.
St Mary’s goal shooter, Cleo Loftus shot a season high 27 goals last weekend and will look to continue the trend.
Tigers Olivia Makowski should play a pivotal role as their centre, supported by her passing and ability to create space on court.
Leopold vs Lara
Leopold Memorial Reserve, 1:40PM, Saturday 9th August, 2025
Could be the match of the round with major finals implications for the losing team with both clubs sitting on 22 points.
Leopold are looking to snap a four-game losing streak and gain some momentum for the final stretch of games.
Lara were disappointing last week, in a game they were favoured to win, a major response is required.
Lions captain Darcy Wilson should have a major influence, leading by example on court.
The Cats will have an emphasis on getting the ball in the hands of captain, Sharni Van Doren who has shot 195 goals for the season.
Bye: South Barwon
