Good Afternoon GFNL Football Contacts,
GFNL 2024 second weekend of GFNL Finals is this week.
Week One & Two & Three of the GFNL 2024 Qualifying, Semi and Elimination Finals will be held at Geelong West Oval (North Geelong) all game times are available on PlayHQ.
- Bar – Lara FNC
- Catering – St Joseph’s FNC
I draw your attention to club supporters entering the ground walking directly to umpires and verbally attacking and filming them with mobile phones, the first week of finals.
This behaviour is not on, umpires like everyone on game day should have a safe and great GFNL game day experience.
Umpires should feel safe in their working environment and feel safe to enter and leave the ground.
The GFNL community are better than this and I would like to see this behaviour stop, all club supporter interactions with umpires must cease.
This week AFL Barwon will be adopting greater protection measures for the umpires.
GFNL clubs are required to support and communicate with members and supporters to always stay away from umpires when entering and leaving the ground.
Any umpire feedback should follow the process of contacting

Water carriers information:
- Water carriers MUST NOT BE USED AS MESSENGERS (Runners).

Interchange bench
- Only those on the team sheet are permitted in the interchange bench, any persons not named will be politely asked to move behind the fence.

All clubs are required to submit their player payment reporting via the spreadsheet on our website HERE

All Players who have taken the court in A Grade are required to have either a standard player declaration, or non-declared player statement.

Commercial Partnerships
Each AFL Barwon affiliated club have received one allocated 2024 Geelong Cats signed football jumper, thanks to our community partnership.
Our region is very fortunate to have the Geelong Cats support in providing these for our clubs to use for fundraising or gifting opportunities. This year we would like some feedback from clubs on the value they see and make from these jumpers. We are keen to understand whether clubs find value in these jumpers being provided, and how much financial gain each club makes from these. This will allow us to understand whether we continue to offer these to clubs in the future. 2025 and beyond.
Each clubs signed jumper will be able to be picked up from the AFL Barwon Office from 10am Monday September 16th.
If you have any questions or feedback, please contact AFL Barwon Commercial Partnerships and Communications Manager, Sean Atkinson (
