All the winners: U18 Football and 19&Under Netball Best and Fairests

The winners of the Under 18 Football and the 19 & Under Netball Best and Fairest have been announced.

It comes following the Under 18 Football and 19 & Under Netball presentation night at Buckley’s Entertainment Centre on Monday Night.

Football

In the Under 18 Division 1 gforce Cup Jack Trewin of Geelong West took out the award with 26 votes.

Trewin’s season included seven mentions in the best across his 14 games.

Runner up to Trewin was Fletcher Bent of St Mary’s with 21 votes.

Tied for third was Cooper Costelloe of Torquay and Byron Hansford of Ocean Grove.

Rounding out the top 5 was Archie Tatterson of St Mary’s with 15 votes.

In the Under 18 Division 2 Times News Group Cup Oscar Denny of North Shore took out the Best and Fairest with 18 votes.

Denny, who also played five senior matches this season found himself in the best 10 times in his 14 matches.

Runner up was Noah Staehr from Leopold with 15 votes.

Equal third was Connor Boswell of Torquay and Riley Cotter of North Shore who tied on 12 votes.

In fifth was Isaac Ashley from the Surf Coast Suns with 11 votes.

In the Under 18 Division 3 Times News Group Cup Cooper McKenzie of St Albans took out the Best and Fairest with 20 votes.

McKenzie racked up the goals, amassing 40 goals in his eight games to go with eight mentions in the best across the season.

Runner up to Mckenzie was Ocean Grove’s Hudson Stephenson and Modewarre's Joshua Chislett who polled 17 votes.

Fourth was Tyler Levy of Inverleigh/Bannockburn who polled 16 votes.

In fifth position was Jake McLeod from Lara who finished the count with 12 votes.

Netball

In the Geelong FNL 19&Under gforce cup there was a tie for the Best and Fairest with Colac’s Remy Holt and South Barwon’s Amali Hill both polling 25 votes.

Both winners combined their dominant seasons in the 19&Under competition with B grade netball throughout the year.

In third place was Arabella Taylor from St Joseph’s who finished the count on 20 votes.

Fourth position went Bell Park’s Phoenix McCleish polling 19 votes.

Finishing in fifth was Grovedale’s Matilda Varcoe and St Mary’s Lucy Grapsas who both polled 18 votes respectively on the night.

The Bellarine FNL 19&Under gforce cup Best and Fairest was awarded to Portarlington’s Tylah McCleish who polled 30 votes in the count.

McCleish was a regular fixture in front of goals, shooting 307 goals in 15 games across the home and away season.

Following McCleish was runner up Hayley Toull from Modewarre with 26 votes.

Third spot went to Ocean Grove’s Ella Brown after polling 24 votes.

She was closely followed by Bella Te Paa of Torquay who polled 23 votes.

In fifth was Geelong Ammos Jaida Raco with 21 votes.
