Career Opportunity: Geelong Falcons Regional Talent Operations Lead

The Geelong Falcons are currently seeking applications for the position of Regional Talent Operations Lead.

The Regional Talent Operations Lead (Talent Lead) is primarily responsible for the overall operations of an assigned regional talent program in a well-balanced high-performance environment which will also include playing a lead role in setting, driving, and maintaining a positive, safe and supportive development program culture.

The Talent Lead will plan, manage, and lead a talented player pathway program that supports the development and progression of well prepared (physically, emotionally, socially, game play, skills, etc.) young athletes ready for AFL and AFLW football as well as those players that transition into State League and/or community football competitions after their talent pathway experience. A key objective of the role is to ensure the talent player pathway program is managed and administered in an equitable, efficient and professional manner for all those directly involved and in partnership with key stakeholders.

The ideal person will lead the operational and administration aspects of a regional talent pathway program that has the core objectives to identify, nurture and develop well prepared young athletes ready for AFL and AFLW football as well as those players that transition into State League and/or community football competitions. Athletes are primarily between the ages of 15 to 19 years. This role will aim to establish and maintain a talent program that operates in an environment that is safe, inclusive, supportive, respectful and enjoyable (fun) for all those involved including those from diverse backgrounds.

This position is located in Geelong based at the Geelong Falcons Football Cub.
