Bell Park FNC - Junior AFL Development Coordinator

The Bell Park FNC club is affiliated with the Geelong Football & Netball League (AFL Barwon), which is recognised as one of the premier community football and netball competitions in Australia. The club prides itself on its positive and inclusive culture and is run by passionate volunteers.

This is a great time to join Bell Park, a high-performing club which is going through an exciting period of growth, with significant funding recently approved for a number of facility upgrades. 


The Role

As the Junior Development Coordinator (AFL), you will lead and administer Bell Park’s ‘Male & Female Junior Football Development Program’ for approximately 250 registered Junior Football Players, ranging from U/9 through to U/18s.

This exciting, new program is designed to provide all Bell Park Junior players with the best possible development pathway.

It is aimed to provide teams across all age levels with a high-quality, consistent training program that will allow players at all levels to improve and enjoy the game. 

This will be achieved by supporting and upskilling our team of junior coaches to implement the program.

About you:

• You are committed, and enjoy working with junior coaches and children of all ages, taking pride in their development across all levels of ability;

• You are passionate about creating an inclusive and supportive club culture and community;

• You have excellent communication skills and interact effectively with coaches and children alike to create a fun and encouraging learning atmosphere;

• You understand development principles and age-appropriate coaching techniques and are experienced with keeping development progress records;

Key Requirements:

• Working With Children's Check (or ability to obtain)

• MUST regularly be available Tuesday to Thursday evenings during training months and Saturday mornings (or alternatively Sunday mornings pending fixturing) during the AFL Barwon Junior Football season.

• Experience coaching Australian Rules Football 

Desirable:

• You have a strong understanding of AFL junior pathways.

• You are experienced in leading people.

Remuneration:

This is a paid role with renumeration open to negotiation.
